The project is located in Hangzhou City, at the north side, on the old Hangzhou Steel Mill site which ceased fire in 2015. Most of the factory buildings are torn down except some meaningful equipment for historical memory purposes.
The region lost the growing power when the steel production stopped and they need a new engine to drive the growth. We plan to introduce Puy Du Fou theme park as the new heart to bring in new income and energy for the region. We also planned a museum park to preserve the proud steel production history and memory.
The site is right next to the Grand Canal connecting Beijing and Hangzhou. We propose to restore the Canal branch within our site so to make an emerald necklace and great open space for the communities. We also plan the artist village/ workshop and retail street along the water to create new activities for the site. Our goal is to make it a memorable “Place”.
